How does Video Turbo Optimizer compare to YouTube’s own embed code?
Testing the Video Turbo Optimizer
To test the Video Turbo Optimizer GPT, I used my WordPress website and created a basic text page with no video to establish a baseline. Page speed performance was tested with Page Speed Insights.
The initial test yielded a performance score of 80, providing a benchmark for comparison.

Adding a YouTube embed by pasting the YouTube embed code into the post had a sizable impact, dropping the Performance score by 30 points.

Lastly, I added an embed with the Video Turbo code. The challenge here was to see if embedding a video via the Video Turbo Optimizer GPT could lessen the impact of embedding a video, especially given the huge drop seen with a standard YouTube embed.

The Performance score was barely impacted!
The results of Video Turbo were surprising. The performance score was a remarkable 79, nearly identical to the page with no video. This minimal impact on performance was a huge contrast to YouTube’s embedding method, highlighting the GPT’s effectiveness.
